Hi I'm Greg Deacon an enthusiastic tri-athlete and on behalf of CyclingForFun.co.uk I'm going to tell you about the importance about cooling down properly.

Stooping exercises abruptly can cause blood to pool in the legs and can cause dizziness and fainting, so it is incredibly important to wind down gently. Cool down exercises should also prevent muscle soreness.

Cool down should last between 10-15 minutes and finish off with some stretching, Stretches should be held for approximately 20-30 seconds and repeated at least five times on each side.
